A Little About DaveDave Harris knows deli. In 2000 he opened the renowned The Other Coast Cafe in Ballard to bring East coast-style hoagies to the Pacific Northwest. Originally from New Jersey, Dave brought sandwiches to a new level in Seattle: with freshly made sauces and thinly sliced deli cuts on classic and original sandwiches, with cooked meats and soups made from scratch.
After selling The Other Coast Cafe in 2005, he opened up The Mermaid Deli on the Washington coast in Westport, where surfers and fisherman were shocked they could find food this good.
He returned to Seattle in 2009 to get started at his dream; opening deli version 2.0 in Columbia City. The Chelsea Deli is named after his daughter and is a nod to the deli roots of the Chelsea district in New York City. Chelsea Deli offers even more original sandwiches and soups to this dynamic Seattle neighborhood.
